The Armenian Bar Association is pleased to share a complimentary CLE opportunity offered by the Federal Bar Association that closely aligns with the priorities of our Pro Bono Clinic and supports attorneys interested in meaningful pro bono advocacy.
Civil Habeas Petitions for ICE Detainees: A Multi-Modal Training in Federal and Immigration Practice is a special online training designed for attorneys representing, or seeking to represent, individuals challenging immigration-related detentions through civil habeas petitions on a pro bono or other basis.
As immigration-related detentions continue to increase, this program responds to the growing need for legal representation in this area. The training is intended for both experienced practitioners and attorneys newer to immigration law or federal habeas practice. The program will include an opening plenary followed by breakout sessions addressing applicable immigration doctrines and pertinent federal habeas procedures.
Featuring panelists with significant practical experience and co-sponsors regularly engaged in this field, the training will provide participants with valuable tools necessary to assist in these matters. Following the training, participants may also opt into an informal list of practitioners interested in taking such cases pro bono.
