Join us for a reception in NYC to benefit The Women’s Support Center which provides life-saving services to domestic violence survivors in Armenia. Since 2010, under the leadership of Maro Matosian, the WSC has taken a leading role in protecting women and children in Armenia from domestic violence and driving institutional reform. On the 10th, WSC Board Member Lenna Garibian will join Director of Development, Ani Jilozian, in a discussion.

The Center has been working for years alongside the Armenian Bar Association’s Domestic Violence Committee. The reception is graciously hosted by Armenian Bar Association members Lisa and Chris Parnagian on Friday evening, March 10, 2023.

Sponsorship opportunities are available: Friend ($500) or Event Sponsor – ($1000-1500) Please email [email protected] to RSVP and for sponsorships.

2024 International Law Symposium: Call for Papers

The humanitarian crisis for the ethnic Armenian community of Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) [as a result of Azerbaijan’s complete military encirclement, months-long blockade, and, ultimately, the entire Armenian population’s forced migration out of Nagorno-Karabakh] raise oft-ignored questions about the universality and effectiveness of non-derogable international human rights norms. This Call for Papers seeks submissions of abstracts for papers exploring the relationship between human rights and unrecognized or partially recognized States (viz, countries), particularly in connection with the live issues in Nagorno-Karabakh.
