The Armenian Bar Association Pro Bono Clinic is dedicated to providing high-quality legal services to those in need within our community. We offer pro bono legal assistance and advocate for justice while nurturing the professional growth of aspiring legal professionals. Our mission is to support and empower individuals through compassionate legal aid, and we are seeking a motivated Legal Intern to join our dynamic team. This position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a variety of legal areas, including family law, landlord tenant, criminal law, immigration law, and elder rights. Interns will work closely with experienced attorneys, participate in client consultations, and contribute to the development of legal strategies.

Responsibilities:
– Conduct legal research and draft memos, briefs, and other legal documents.
– Assist in client intake and case preparation, including gathering relevant documents and information.
– Attend and observe client meetings.
– Collaborate with attorneys to develop case strategies.
– Provide general administrative support, including organizing case files and managing schedules.
– Contribute to community outreach and educational initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
– Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from law school.
– Strong interest in public interest law and pro bono work.
– Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
– Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
– Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
– Proficiency in Armenian is preferred but not required.
